Sweep the Broom off East Beach Road:

Volunteers Needed for Weed Removal

Clallam County Noxious Weed Control and Olympic National Park are teaming up to tackle Scotch broom along beautiful Lake Crescent on East Beach Road, and they’d love your help!

Scotch broom is a fast-spreading invasive weed that rapidly crowds out native vegetation. During this event, volunteers and staff from both organizations will work together to remove Scotch broom using weed wrenches, or by cutting down larger plants when needed. No experience is necessary, training will be provided on-site.

  • April 30, 2026 (Thurs.) from 10:00AM - 2:00PM

LOCATION:

East Beach Road in west Port Angeles

Note: Clallam County Noxious Weed Control staff will email a map to registered participants with the exact meeting location prior to the event.

WHAT TO BRING:

  • Water and snacks

  • Weather-appropriate clothing (layers, rain gear and sturdy walking shoes or boots recommended)

  • Gloves (a limited number will be available if needed)
